Immigration attorneys are prohibitively expensive. This means that achieving legal citizenship is often inaccessible for many law-abiding residents. Through the service work of pro-bono attorneys, we are able to provide participants with several consultations at no cost. It should always be the goal to eventually gain citizenship, and most of our newcomers are working towards that end. We want to provide our participants with a full picture of all of the options available to them to achieve citizenship. Factors such as which country participants originated from will create different legal pathways as well as obstacles to overcome. With a complete understanding of how individual circumstances impact that pathway, participants are able to build a life that leads to the desired outcome.
